Bowser Administration and United Way Collaborate to Provide Online Giving Access to Faith-Based Institutions Affected by Closures

The Bowser Administration has worked with the United Way of the National Capital Area (NCA) to provide online giving  support to 501c3 faith-based institutions that are not able to collect funds during closures relate to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Many faith-based institutions in the region are continuing to engage congregants via the internet or telephone, but do not have the online capabilities to collect funds to support their community-based work. Faith-based institutions can request access to the online giving platform until Wednesday, April 1.

If the organization meets the criteria, they will be added to a drop-down menu on a donation page of the United Way NCA website. To participate in United Way NCA online giving, faith-based institutions should email [email protected].
