Mission
We are very proud of our open spaces and recreational opportunities in Washington, DC –from our DC parks and recreation parks, playgrounds, playfields, summer camps, and pools, to the beautiful parks, golf courses and fields managed by the National Park Service. These spaces have largely been closed in response to the public health emergency. Washingtonians of every age and across every ward are looking forward to reclaiming access to fitness centers, open space, and competitive and pick-up sports activities.
Focus
The Committee will focus on health and sanitation protocols for reopening, local and federal coordination, and strategies to communicate with DC residents and visitors.
