Mayor Bowser to Provide Update on Coronavirus

Wednesday, March 11, 2020

(Washington, DC) – Today, at 4 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will provide an update on the District’s response to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The following updates will be discussed:

  • DC Health advisory recommending that non-essential mass gatherings, including conferences and conventions, be postponed or cancelled through March 31
  • DC Public Schools moving their teacher Professional Development day from Friday, March 20 to Monday, March 16 to prepare for the possibility of distance learning
  • The indefinite postponement of the Washington, DC Saint Patrick’s Parade
