Application

In accordance with Mayor’s Order 2020-058 and Mayor’s Order 2020-067, the District Government will only allow farmers markets to operate if operators submit and get approved a COVID-19 waiver request to operate during the COVID-19 public health emergency. In Phase 1 of reopening, farmers market waivers have now been extended for the rest of the farmers market season or the end of the public health emergency, whatever comes first.

Markets must still apply for all regularly required permits to operate, including a DCRA vending license, and DPR or DDOT permits if operating on DPR property or public space. Learn more about the application requirements for a DCRA Class C vending license on the DCRA website here.
