(Washington, DC) The District’s reported data for December 16, 2021 includes 844 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 71,219. 

 The District reported that two additional residents lost their lives due to COVID-19.  

  • 68-year-old female
  • 62-year-old female

Tragically, 1,206 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.
