(Washington, DC) The District’s reported data for December 21, 2021 includes 1,524 new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the District’s overall positive case total to 77,661. 

 The District reported no additional COVID-19 related deaths.

Tragically, 1,207 District residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19.

The District currently has 81 intensive care unit (ICU) beds available in hospitals out of 345 total ICU beds.

  • 264 total ICU inpatients
  • 25 COVID-19 positive ICU patients
